Why?

Simply because I'm tired of my 13 year old fangirl username.

I'm 17 now and you know, people grow up and out of their silly fandoms and I already have.

I don't want people to remember me as "That crazy rabid fan girl" but as a person. an artist. a friend. whatever.

So much has happened in a small weekend.
I haven't really talked about this on my LJ because honestly I forgot about it. ^^;

Well I signed up for this art thing MONTHS ago. I forgot about it because it was so long ago. A few days ago, I got the phone call from them saying that one of their peeps are coming down to pesky little Alabama where I lives ALLLLL the way from freaking Minnesota. O_o

Long story short, the program is called the AIS (Art Institute School Inc.) as seen on TV. :D they're in affiliation with Cartoon Network,Adult Swim.Nick,etc. anything cartooning and artsy tartsy.

Yesterday they came and took a GOOD look at my art. (I stayed up half the night organizing my two HUGE black binders where I keep my art. I separate my art from 'Original' to 'Fanart' but both binders go from newest to oldest. (meaning the oldest ones go in the back.) I went through my closet and found TONS of my old art. (I even found some from when I was in the 6th grade! O_o )
And they were VERY impressed. XD and guess what? I GOT IN!!!! They already gave me my first two lessons, and my art kit will be sent to me soon. (The program covers my books,supplies,etc.) and it's very cheap for somethign that's been here since 1914.
So now I'm officially an AIS student! And this program gives me 24 college credits so when I graduate high school, I can get into a good art college. (Which this AIS program will take 24 months to finish so by the time I graduate high school, I've already graduated AIS.)
So yeah, I'm 16 years old and already in college. :D

In other news, I GOT THE JOB!!!!!! I'm now a hostess at a fancy resturaunt called MT (Michael's Table.) I work from Thurds-Saturday from 6pm-9pm. I'll even be able to keep my job year-round.) Too bad I won't be able to work with my friend Haley at CFA but this job I got pays BIG, and I need to get money somewhere right?

And now for the grand finale!
Today I was supposed to 'drive' (mainly my mum.) 4 hours to a family reunion and last night we found out it got cancelled! :D Hooray!!!! 

Well a few days ago I found out that I won 3rd place in this writing contest my school was competing in against the whole freaking county! D8

Usually some little miss Barbie perfect girl I know ALWAYS wins everything (contests,talent shows,blahblahblahblah.) and I found out that I actually beat her too! O//////O I felt a little embarrassed that I actually beat the most popular girl in school. (and she was in such a bad mood that day too.)

But this weekend I was at my aunts house bcause I helped her out with this Carnival thing at my cousin's school, and my friend Haley helped. We did face painting. OUR TABLE WAS SO PACKED!!! I didn't think we'd get alot of customers. We ran fresh out of paint afterwards. XD

And I finished a fantasy picture there too! (I always have so much fun there. I love my cousins.) We played GH rock the 80's there. (I need to go buy it now! T3T) and then later we recorded a movie (usually we always do that because my cousin Karson likes to do movies and stuff. I keep asking him to post some videos of his on youtube.)
Now I'm FINALLY working on art trades and commissions! <3
